While the university has been using the E-Voting system in previous years, this year's exercise marked a major leap forward, recording the highest voter turnout ever—5,799 participants. The University of Embu has implemented an E-voting system to allow students to carry out elections virtually. The system is also available for lease to other Universities to carry out similar student elections. We recently carried out our 3rd online student election and it was successful with this year having the highest voter turnout with about 33% of the student population voting.
