Esther Mumbi Njeru serves as a Sports Officer I at the University of Embu, where she plays an integral role in supporting and developing the university’s dynamic sports and recreational programs. She is a graduate of BSc. Leisure and Recreation Management and brings with her a strong background and passion for sports, recreation, and youth empowerment.
With expertise in coaching Rollball, swimming, lawn tennis, badminton, and cycling, Esther is a dedicated and hands-on professional who nurtures talent and promotes holistic development among student-athletes. Her commitment to nurturing excellence extends beyond the sports fields—she also serves as a Patron of the President’s Award Program, where she mentors students in leadership, discipline, and community service.
Esther is passionate about using sports and recreation as a platform to empower young people, instill values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience, and promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
