Short Biography.
CPA Dr. Mwenda Geoffrey Justus is a Senior Assistant Accountant in charge of Financial Reporting at the University of Embu, with over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial management. He holds a PhD, an MBA (Strategic Management) from University of Embu and Kenyatta University respectfully, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from Kenya Methodist University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a member of ICPAK.

He previously worked at Maua Methodist Hospital for 14 years, rising to Deputy Financial Controller. Since joining the University of Embu in 2014, he has played a key role in financial reporting and institutional governance, serving on several committees and as a part-time lecturer since 2016. He is also a trained ISO/ISMIS auditor.

Dr. Mwenda serves as a Member of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Teachers Service Commission (2023) and the Office of the Controller of Budget (2025).
