Short Biography.

CPA Dr. Mwenda Geoffrey Justus is an Assistant Accountant in charge of financial reporting in University of Embu. He graduated from Meru School in 1994, and later joined Vision Institute of Professional studies for an Accounting Course where he attained CPA part Two. In May 2009 he joined Kenya Methodist University where he pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance and graduated in July 2011 Mwenda joined Kenyatta University for a Master’s degree in Business Administration majoring in strategic Management and graduated in December 2015. He holds a PhD, In July 2018 he attained CPA part Three and became a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and given a title of CPA Mwenda Geoffrey Justus.
After receiving his education, he joined Maua Methodist Hospital in March 2000. In the hospital, he served in different capacities ranging from an Account Assistant to a Deputy Financial Controller. In year December 2000 he was voted as the staff of year in the Hospital. In the hospital, he was appointed to various committees such as the budget committee, worship committee and debts control committee among others. Mwenda left Maua Methodist Hospital in February 2014 after working for a duration of fourteen years. In March 2014 he joined the University of Embu as an Assistant Accountant in charge of University revenues and bank reconciliations until July 2018 when he took over the docket of financial reporting. At the University of Embu he has been appointed to several Committees such as budget committee, ISO implementation Committee, Strategic plan implementation Committee Housing allocation committee, HIV and Aids prevention committee etc. He has a wealthy experience in areas of accounting and finance and more so in financial reporting. In addition, he is a trained ISO/ISMIS auditor.
