The Finance Department, established in 2012, is among the oldest at the University of Embu. It operates under the Division of Planning, Administration and Finance, headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Planning, Administration and Finance).
Its core mandate is to implement financial policies and ensure that University resources are safeguarded and properly accounted for.
The Department comprises qualified and experienced professionals committed to delivering efficient and timely services, guided by the University’s core values: integrity, innovativeness, professionalism, teamwork, and customer focus.
Internal mechanisms in place ensure fair and professional service delivery to all customers. Feedback is encouraged through established channels, including suggestion boxes, complaints and compliments registers, telephone, and email, enabling continuous improvement.
The Department values customer engagement and takes pride in contributing to the University’s success, with the support and guidance of Management.
