MoU Signing Ceremony with Miti


UoEm and Miti Alliance sign MoU to Protect Environment

The University of Embu (UoEm) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Miti Alliance on Friday, 5th December 2025. The signing ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Paul Nthakanio, who represented the Vice-Chancellor and Miti Alliance CEO, by Mr. Michael Waiyaki.

The MoU sets the stage for a long-term collaboration in climate action, environmental conservation, ecosystem restoration, student mentorship, and community outreach. Both institutions expressed their commitment to leveraging shared expertise to drive impactful research, strengthen academic programmes, and advance sustainable development initiatives.

Speaking after Signing the MoU, Ag. DVC, ARE Prof. Paul Nthakanio, emphasized the importance of this partnership in addressing climate change and nurturing environmentally conscious communities. He thanked the Miti Alliance delegation for their willingness to collaborate and promised full commitment and openness in the implementation of the partnership.

With this partnership sealed, the University of Embu and Miti Alliance will now embark on a transformative journey aimed at enriching learning experiences, enhancing community resilience, and sharing knowledge that can influence policy in national and global environments.
