The office of the Vice-Chancellor is composed of several units reporting directly and answerable to the Vice-Chancellor. These are: Deputy Vice-Chancellor (ARE), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (PAF), Council Secretariat, Corporate Affairs, Public Relation and Marketing Office, Directorate of Performance Contracting and ISO, Directorate of ICT, Customer Care and Internal Audit. Among the main tasks of the Vice-Chancellor’s office are to:

• Provide leadership, academic and administrative to the whole University;
• Represent the University externally, both within and outside the country;
• Secure a financial base sufficient to allow the delivery of the University's mission, aims and objectives;
• Carry out certain important ceremonial and civic duties.
