Mr. Stephen M. Kathuli is a seasoned security professional with over three decades of distinguished service in the National Police Service of Kenya. Throughout his career, he held various senior management positions and attained the rank of Commissioner of Police, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise in law enforcement and security management.
He holds a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts in Leadership and Security Management from Kenyatta University, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Security Management (Loss Prevention Option) from Dedan Kimathi University of Science and Technology. In addition, he has pursued numerous professional certifications that enhance his competence in the field.
Mr. Kathuli’s extensive experience in policing, risk management, and institutional security provides the University of Embu with invaluable knowledge and strategic insight. His leadership continues to strengthen the University’s commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and conducive environment for academic excellence and community well-being.
