The Centre of Service Delivery
The ICT Department has also been implementing different applications in the University to help other departments provide better services to its clients. The Farm Sales Management is used by the farm department as an online shopping platform for items from the farm. Allows clients to order for items and make payments online. In a bid to reduce paperwork the University through the ICT Department has also introduced a Document Management System (DMS) that will allow departments to have their filing online. This will help with easily finding, storing and securing files and also provide an online backup of documents. DAQA Lecture Take Off (LTO) System used by the Directorate Academic Quality Assurance for management of lecture take off at the beginning of the semester by having an online system it has made it easier and efficient for DAQA to track and report on Lecture attendance.
Customer Relations and Complaints Resolution Office is also a vital part of the University that allows us to get feedback from our clients on service delivery offered in the university by the Staff Members. As such the CRCRC Office with the help of ICT have developed an online reporting system for members to submit their monthly reports. Finally, the ICT Department also designed the Queue Management System for the Department of Health Services designed to be used in the management of queues in the University Clinic. This has gone a long way in making the Clinic more efficient in providing health services to its clients.
