How to Access and Use the Student Portal

1. Logging into the system (Student’s portal)

  1. Open your Browser i.e. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera etc.
  2. Type https://www.embuni.ac.ke and press enter
  3. From the displayed screen, click on, students menu item’
  4. Scroll to the students portal and click
  5. From the displayed screen, new students can create their accounts using the create account link at the bottom of the page NB: your username will be your admission number in full as it appears in the admission letter i.e. A101/12345/2020
  6. An email will be sent to your student email address for account activation and verification
  7. After the account has been verified, you can then login using your student admission number as the username and the password as used during the account creation.
  8. Once logged in, the Student Dashboard screen will be displayed showing your activities on the portal

2. Change your password

Once logged in move the mouse over your username at the top right of the screen. A small screen showing My Profile, My calendar and My inbox will be displayed
Click on My Profile

  1. From the displayed screen, click on “Change Password”
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Type the new pass and confirm it
  4. Click on Change password button to effect the changes

3. Forgot user password or user ID

  1. From the Sign In screen, under forgot password, click the Click here link to reset your password
  2. This will open a forgot password window
  3. Enter your student admission number in full and press the Email Link button
  4. An email will be sent to your student email address with a link to reset your password.
