The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi, together with the University Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Mary Nkari, on Monday, 15th June 2026, led a special dedication ceremony for the University’s newly acquired vehicles, comprising a modern, fully equipped ambulance and a double-cabin pick-up truck.
During the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor underscored the importance of the new vehicles in enhancing service delivery, particularly in emergency response, rescue operations and community outreach activities. He noted that the ambulance would play a critical role in providing timely medical assistance and ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff and the surrounding community.
Prof. Mugendi further emphasised the need for drivers and vehicle users to exercise utmost caution, discipline and responsibility while on the road in order to safeguard lives and University property. He encouraged them to observe traffic regulations, remain vigilant at all times and uphold a culture of safe driving.
