Welcome to the Office of the Registrar (Academics, Research and Extension). The office coordinates academics, research and community outreach services in the University under the Division of Academics, Research and Extension. The Division is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics, Research and Extension), Prof. Kiplagat Kotut. The office is in charge of University Senate matters, including examinations, curriculum review and development and general Senate matters.
The office oversees development, review and implementation of academic programs. The office also oversees students’ admissions matter including but not limited to direct admission to the University, credit transfers and waivers, inter-universities transfers among others. The office further coordinates development, review and implementation of academic policies, guidelines, procedures and other legislative frameworks within the academic division.
Students form the bulk of the clients for the office. The office has therefore developed and implemented strategies that ensure timely, effective, efficient, transparent and accountable service delivery to its clients. The strategies include documented quality management procedures, adoption of information security management system, service delivery charter and dedicated team of staff.
Research and community service is a key component of University core mandate. The office coordinates development of University research and implementation of community outreach services in order communicate research outputs to stakeholders.
Sporting and games are very important in promotion of teaching and learning in the University. The office therefore coordinates the various sports and games within and without the University.
