RESEARCH GRANT AND KEY NOTE ADDRESSES

Prof. Jackson Wachira Muthengia was awarded a research grant entitled, “Promotion of energy-efficient homes using sustainable design of building, materials and energy management” by the Academy of Medical Sciences through the Global Challenges Research Fund. This is a noble award as a Networking Grant Scheme
The grant will provide the University a valuable opportunity for development of international collaborations and establishment of long-term and sustainable research links. In addition, Prof. Muthengia has been invited by a number of higher learning institutions as a keynote speaker during various conferences such Meru University of Science and Technology during a conference on Networking and Collaborations in Universities for Research, University of Embu. Prof. Muthengia is scheduled for a key note address, on Effects of Selected Important Bacteria on Physico-Chemical Properties of Cement during the Global Partnership for Sustainable Construction and Resource Efficiency, to be held University of Padua in Italy among others.
