“Programme panels from the Commission for University Education (CUE) visited the University of Embu on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, to conduct a physical site inspection as part of the evaluation and accreditation process for newly developed academic programmes. The inspection sought to verify the availability of academic resources that the University had put in place to support the programmes.
The programmes under review included the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Economics and Extension; Doctor of Philosophy in Economics; Master of Science in Finance; Master of Arts in Peace and Security Studies (Online and Blended); Doctor of Philosophy in Peace and Security Studies (Online); Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics; Master of Science in Civil Engineering; and Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering.
The CUE programme panels were received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi, and subsequently toured various University facilities to verify the availability of the required academic resources in support of the programmes.”
