A brief about the Section

The Strategic Plan Implementation and Coordination (SPI&C) Unit was established in the year 2020 as a standalone section after transiting from a Strategic Planning Committee which was previously handling the Strategic Plan 2013-2018 and Strategic Plan 2018-2028 (later reviewed to Strategic Plan 2024-2028).

The SPI&C Unit oversees and manages the overall development and review, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Strategic Plan ensuring the University transforms its high-level vision into operational reality. Its primary purpose is to ensure that various departments are integrated and that individual efforts are unified toward achieving common long-term Strategic objective and goals.

In carrying out its mandate the SPI&C Unit is assisted by a Strategic Plan Implementation Committee which meets on quarterly basis to offer advisory and oversight on implementation of the University Strategic Plan. This Committee is comprised the Chairman, Conveners and Secretaries of various Strategic Issues (Thematic Issues) and Secretariat. For a complete list of committee members, view Committee Members.

Additionally, in an effort to effectively coordinate the implementation of activities in this Strategic Plan, alignment of Performance contracting targets, budget and procurement plan a seven-member committee was established to coordinate and align Strategic activities into these segments.
