At the heart of this transformation is the Strategic Planning, Implementation and Coordination (SPIC) Unit.

The SPI&C Unit serves as the custodian of the University's Strategic Vision. Our mandate is to ensure that our mission “to provide high-quality training, research, and innovation” is translated into action with clarity, consistency, and measurable results. In doing so, we serve as the vital link between localized impact and global relevance.

To ensure the University of Embu remains a competitive player in the global academic arena, our Unit performs three major roles:

1. Strategic Translation: Turning our institutional goals into measurable impact metrics, ensuring our research and teaching outputs meet international standards of excellence.
2. Evidence-Based Governance: Through robust, data-driven monitoring and evaluation frameworks, we provide stakeholders and partners with transparent and credible insights into the University’s performance and growth.
3. Sustainable Innovation: We coordinate the alignment of our resources with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing and positioning the University of Embu as a major player to solving global societal challenges.
