Anne Ndegwa is a versatile legal professional with a strong background in legal practice with seven years of experience. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Commissioner for Oaths. She is currently heading the Legal Office at the University having joined in 2017.

Anne earned her Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in 2012 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law in 2014. She was admitted to practice as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in March 2015 and was appointed to be a Commissioner for Oaths by the Honourable Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya in April 2019.

Having served in the private sector and public service, Anne has acquired a rich experience that encompasses the provision of strategic legal counsel, representation of clients in various courts and tribunals, identification and mitigation of legal risk, contract management, legal research, analysis, and writing.

In the five years that she has served as the Legal Officer at the University, Anne has achieved numerous milestones notably; establishing the Legal Office and integrating it as a key office in the University, representing the University in various courts and tribunals, advising on and directing the streamlining of University’s policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the law and directing the establishment of the University of Embu Endowment Fund, the first properly established Endowment Fund within the university education sector in Kenya.
