Short Biography:
David Mutinda Otieno is a dynamic and results-driven communications specialist currently serving as an Administrative Assistant, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, University of Embu. David graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Public Relations. He joined the University in February, 2025. Prior to joining the University of Embu, he honed his communication skills at KenGen and the Public Service Commission where he served as an Intern in both organisations. He brings a wealth of expertise in corporate communication, publication relations, stakeholder engagement and community relations.
David possess a proactive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, tech savvy, adaptability, ability to plan and coordinate meetings and events. He is a strong team player. He assists in planning meetings, offering secretarial services to committee meetings, drafting official correspondence and liaising with senior management, students, faculty and external interested parties on matters of University interest.
