Short Biography
I am a Research Assistant working in the office of Registrar (Planning, Administration and Finance). I work under the NRF funded research on Super-Yielding Basmati 370 hybrid Rice. Besides, I am a Plant Breeding researcher, with a niche in Rice Breeding.
My key duties include:
   a) Data collection in the NRF-funded rice research project,
   b) Coordinating and day-to-day management of the NRF funded rice research project,
   c) Project’s assets and inventory management,
   d) Lab technician duties in the Molecular and Tissue culture labs,
   e) Grants’ proposals writing and editing,
   f) Record keeping for the awarded grants.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology & Biotechnology from University of Embu. I am currently pursuing MSc. Plant Breeding & Biotechnology at the same University.
My hobbies include blogging, forest bathing, and watching philanthropic videos.
