Kazi Mtaani is an initiative of the Government of Kenya to create employment for youth who could have been rendered jobless in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the University, commenced on 16th September 2020 and included the following:
1. Two high profile parks, one at dam 5 and the other near Embu Meru road, all within the University.
2. Beautification of road from Izaak Walton to KARLO boarder.
3. Nature trail running within the University,
The University conducts mentoring sessions to the group to help them identify and take up opportunities and also cope with hardships (if any) occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic.
